Depression Glass Shard Identification

This is a complete green depression glass refrigerator/leftover dish lid that I glued together. Maker is unknown. Approximate date- 1930′s. Refrigerator dishes came in two pieces, the lid and the bottom dish.
The electric refrigerator became popular in the late 1920′s, and with reliable refrigeration, food could be kept longer. Glass companies started producing specific leftover dishes for storing leftover food. During the Depression, people started rationing their food and due to money shortages, were not able to purchase as much food as they were used to. Due to this, leftovers took on a whole new definition. Glass refrigerator dishes declined in use after the introduction of the tupperware dish in the 50s, but were still used long after. Refrigerator dishes came in assorted shapes and sizes, most commonly square and rectangular, although some were circular and some were stackable for convenience and efficiency. They came in a rainbow of colors as well, including green, crystal, jadeite, delphite, cobalt blue, pink, and yellow. Depression glass refrigerator dishes came in two pieces, the lid and the bottom. Depression glass was very breakable due its poor quality, explaining why I dig it up in dumpsites so often
